Switch 2 T-Mobile
- T-Mobile will pay for customers to switch to their company by covering the cost of any termination fees their old cell phone carrier charges
- Once a customers has submitted a ETF charge reimbursement from T-Mobile, they can visit the Switch 2 TMobile site to check the status of their claim
- To get started with the reimbursement process, customers will need to enter the Last four digits of their Social Security number, and their T-Mobile phone number
By using the Switch 2 T-mobile site, customers who are changing their phone plan to T-Mobile can submit a request for reimbursement of their old plan cancellation fees or their old plan’s device payment plan fees (like AT&T Next). Customers must transfer to a qualifying postpaid T-Mobile Simple Choice plan to be eligible to have their termination fees covered. T-Mobile device payment plan reimbursement is available to any new eligible customers who are porting a number after the date of March 22, 2015.
How Long Does It Take To Receive Termination Fee Reimbursement From T-Mobile?
Once a request is submitted to T-Mobile, it should take about 8 weeks to get payment returned to the customer. Customers can get their money back a little faster if they only submit for T-Mobile lines that have an associated ETF or device payment plan balance in good standing. Also, accurately matching the new T-Mobile telephone number with the right ETF (or device payment plan like ATT Next) balance for that specific line helps T-Mobile verify the information and process the return faster.
