BankofAmerica.com/SCRefund requires a username in order to access the account service (new users will have to go through a tough registration process in which they will have to provide a valid email address). Once the user has obtained account access they activate a SC Income Tax Refund Prepaid Debit Card, view recent transactions, check out the balance on a card, and transfer money to other accounts. The SC tax refund debit card requires the user to be 18 years of age or older, a legal resident of South Carolina, and can be used anywhere the Visa logo is present. Please note this is not a credit card and will not harm or improve ones credit rating. Any questions in regards to the SC Income Tax debit card can be directed toll-free to 1.866.472.4959 between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday or TTY 1.866.656.5913 (those on vacation outside the United States can call collect at 423.262.1650). This card is designed for use for anyone in the state of South Carolina who does not have a traditional bank account. Those who lose their BOA SC Refund debit card will have it replaced for free the first time (if it happens again the card holder will be charged $5 for each event).
